Leominster Festival Events
6th-9th June 2019
Thursday 6th June
9am. The Leominster Ramblers Club Walk. Approx 8.5 miles, no charge. Start at Bodenham Church at 10am or at Leominster FireStation car park at 9:30am. Walking boots advised and bring a picnic!
7:30pm. The Big Street Pub Quiz.
Held in front of The Grapes Pub in Broad Street. £2 to join on the night. Make a team of 6 to compete for prizes. Runs until approx 10:30pm . Raffle and entertainment included.
Friday 7th June
11 am: Celebration Market & Civic Event. The Mayor and dignitaries process through the town visiting the ale houses, butches, fish-sellers and bakers accompanied by musicians.
11:30am – 2pm: Classical Music and canapes in the Priory Church – see Music Events.
3pm-5pm: Poetry Slam in the West Street Coffee and Book Shop. A free poetry competition to showcase local talent.
7pm: The Ivington Princess. The Barry Simmons Memorial Lecture. An historial talk in the Community Centre. Tickets £7
Saturday 8th June
9am -1pm The Farmer’s Market. Wonderful range of local food and plants for sale.
11am-4pm: Family Fun Day in Grange park. Situated in the beautiful grounds of the Grange, next to a children’s play-area and orchard walk. – Live music, charity stalls, games, food and free activities. Tug-of-war, football, dog show, farm animals, Open Mic and Bouncy castle, the popular Fetch Theatre Company’s amazing puppetry show and of course the Prize Raffle Draw with prizes donated by our local businesses.
11:30am & 1:30pm: Hidden Heritage – A Walking Tour. Meet at the Forbury (old church), no charge.
