The combination of organ and oboe originating in the baroque era was kept alive by a handful of classical and romantic composers before being re-explored further in the 20th century.
Hilary Norris, well-known organist and specialist in nineteenth century English organ music, will be playing the beautiful Nicholson organ. The programme will include works by Rheinberger, Mendelssohn, Fricke and Elgar.
