CALLING ALL ARTISTS! We want to see your fantastic paintings and drawings for this year’s Treasure themed festival. Choose from one of the three themes: Magpies, Treasure and The Grange. We will be holding an art exhibition at the Library throughout the festival period with all of the amazing artwork created. The winners will receive an art themed prize as well as having their artwork published in a fantastic children’s book we are creating to give away as a prize to children raking part in treasure hunts, as well as selling to raise funds for the Family Fun Day.
Any medium can be used: pens, paint, collage – be creative – but please use a single sheet of A4 paper to create your work. If you have any financial or accessibility barriers that would prevent you from being able to create artwork for this competition, please contact the festival and we will do our best to accommodate you and enable you to take part.

T&C’s: If you are chosen as a winner of the competition, but do not want your work published in the children’s book please write this on the reverse of the artwork when submitting, or email the festival to let us know. Artists retain all copyright to their artwork. By entering you give permission for your work to be photographed and used on social media in publicity and on the website, unless you specify you do not want it to be used at the time of submission. The book is being sold as a charity publication and all funds raised will be reinvested into the Festival to provide free activities for children on the Family Fun Day. Unfortunately we are not in a position to return the artwork individually to entrants – they will be available to collect from the Tourist Information Centre for a fortnight after the festival. Artwork not collected in this period will be recycled. Please ensure you put both your name and age on the reverse – we will be dividing winners into age categories. Your name will be credited in the publication of the book, but we will not publish your age unless you are in one of the children’s categories.
