We are back in style for 2022 with a variety of events taking place including poetry, walks and talks, theatre, music and family fun.

Children’s Lion Trail
Date: Sat 28th May – 11th June
Pick up your entry form: From Leominster Tourist Information Centre or any participating shop in town.
Can you spot all ten fluffy lions hidden in independent shops around Leominster? Pick up your clue sheet and your entry form from Leominster Tourist Information Centre or anywhere you can see one of our lions to follow the trail. We’ve got 10 lions to give away to 10 lucky winners! This free family activity is open between Saturday May 26th until Saturday June 11th.

Berrington & back with Leominster Rambling Club
Date: Thursday 2nd June, 10am
Venue: Meet at the Leominster Fire Station
Tickets: Free but donations to the Festival gratefully received
Join us for an 8.5 mile walk north of Leominster towards Berrington and back. Enjoy our beautiful countryside.
Walking boots are required as the ground is rough in places. Please bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink especially if the weather is hot. Booking required, please phone Gill 01568 589287.

Screening of ‘Sculptures in the Sky’, Walenty Pytel
Date: Thursday 2nd June, 7pm
Venue: Grange Court
Join us for a free screening of contemporary sculptor Walenty Pytel’s ‘Sculptures in the Sky’ Internationally renowned as Europe’s leading sculptor of metal birds and beasts, Polish-born Walenty came to Herefordshire as a 5 year old refugee in 1945. The film screening will be followed by a Q&A with film maker Jason Hodges.

‘Tales from my Travels’ with Joe Cocker
Date: Friday 3rd June 2022
Venue: The Lion Ballroom, Leominster
Join Joe, our well-travelled local historian to hear an insightful talk on his experiences travelling the world, including time spent in Ukraine. A fabulous afternoon tea of scones with jam & cream, prosecco and non-alcoholic alternative is included in ticket price and there will be an opportunity to donate to the Ukraine Relief Fund. With grateful thanks to our hosts the Lion Ballroom, Hintons Country & Garden, Leominster Properties and Leominster Rotary.

The Grapes Big Street Quiz
Date: Friday 3rd June, 7PM
Venue: Outside The Grapes, along Broad Street
Tickets: £2 per person on the night, max 6 people per team
Join us for our epic, outdoor street quiz with lots of raffle prizes and fun. Winners prize: Winners prize: £50 cash prize and wine, £25 runners up prize, lots of raffle prizes and fun. No need to book ahead, just turn up and pay on the night. Sponsored this year by Leominster Motors.

Saturday 4th June 2022, 11-3PM
The Grange, Leominster
Free Family Fun Day on the Grange with Live Music Stage, Dog Show, Fetch Theatre reveal the Leominster Lion, Kids activities, Music Tots, Bounce and Rhyme with Leominster Library, Bushcraft skills, Leominster Fire Station are bringing their fire engine, face-painting, a bouncy castle, Stalls, Great food and more. English tea party and free kids arts and crafts session at Grange Court from 10am.

Saturday 4th June 2022, 10am (registration), 10:40 (warm up). 11am (start) – Halo Bridge Street Sports Centre, Leominster
Dressed in white, you will walk, run, or dance your way through a series of Paint Stations. By the end you’ll be covered in (fully biodegradable) paint – and broad smiles!

Walk the Leominster Loop with Walkers are Welcome
Sunday 5th June 2022, 10am
Circle the town on footpaths: an appreciation of Leominster’s green fringes with Walkers Are Welcome.
Seven miles, stiles, tough footwear required. Short break, bring refreshments.

Platinum Jubilee Celebration and Service of Thanksgiving
Saturday 4th June 2022, 4:30pm
The Priory Church, Leominster
You are warmly invited to a Service of Thanksgiving and Celebration for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee at the Priory Church followed by refreshments, bells, and a visit from a giant visitor! Please join us for this community celebration and Service which will include performances by local choirs, and the chance to sing some of the nation’s and Queen’s favourite songs and hymns.

The Organ Walk with Walkers are Welcome – Leominster to Monkland
Friday 10th June 2022, 11am
A 4-mile walk, led by Walkers are Welcome, along the beautiful Arrow Valley for a 2.30pm organ recital at Monkland Church by Peter Dyke of Hereford Cathedral. Bring lunch for riverside picnic.
Tickets £8 (children free) from Leominster Tourist Information Centre, Corn Square. Minibus for return journey to town.

Leominster Antiques Challenge with BBC’s Kate Bliss
Friday 10th June 2022, 10am-4:30pm
Start the day in the Lion Ballroom in Leominster where TV personality
Kate Bliss will talk about her experiences as an antiques
expert before heading into town to visit Leominster’s incredible array of antique shops. Head back to base with our purchases for a 2 course lunch, followed by a run through of our antiques. Kate will talk through each item and we’ll find out who has the best eye for a deal!

Poetry Slam with 35 West
Saturday 11th June 2022, 2pm
Venue: 35 West, 35 West Street, Leominster
Leominster Poetry Slam is a competition for artists to perform their work, stripped bare of props, costume or musical accompaniment. You’ll be scored on your poetry, technique, performance and relevance by a (very friendly!) team of judges.
Set in the cosy confines of the lovely coffee shop, 35 West on West Street this is a celebration of local talent and great coffee.

Simple and relatable
